Author Janis Beresford-McLennan debuts her first book puts the spotlight on the bittersweet story of a woman's struggle to find herself, in the midst of heartache and pain. This exhilarating novel is entitled "Megan" and is written from the main character's perspective.
Janis had an elaborate imagination from her experiences growing up as a child. "I see Megan as a younger version of myself always aiming to please." says the author.
The story has a serious side but still shows a lighter side as well. Megan will capture the hearts, minds, and spirits of readers while showing the extreme lengths Megan goes to in order to recapture a normal existence and restore her own self worth.
Janis has been writing for 10 years and uses the experiences she gained first hand and introduces it into the first novel. "I was amazed at how easy it was to create these unique characters because it was like writing a story about people that I knew."
"Even though my novels speak to reality, the reader can fantasize about the heroine gaining her happily ever after." Janis lives in Columbia, Maryland with her husband and plans on releasing two more novels next year. Her next book is called "The Surrogate".
