If us are simply making a start, it can be hard knowing what elements to include in your site. Your internet designer can help us through these things but this article has to give the article reader a helpful kick start.
1. Open Source website system - A CMS (content management system) allows us to update your own content which is absolutely essential for small business owners. An open source one provides the reader with the ability to pick your providers as the reader see fit (avoid being locked into one proprietary solution provider).
2. simple welcome page - Avoid filling up your homepage with too many words and other content - Make sure it gets across all of the crucial numbers but don't over do it. Make it easy what the article reader want people to do and have lots of free space.
3. Google Analytics - google stats is the most well known free web stats package on the net.
4. Easy call to action - Every page primarily the welcome page should have a stand out calls to action so the client knows without question what they have to do.
5. Search form - If your site is more than a few pages it's good to include a search feature.
6. Map of the site - A site map is great for customers at times but fundamentally exists for search engines,. Include an XML one or include a link to a html sitemap in your footer (or both).
7. Great words - One of the most pressing aspects of your website is the copy. Make sure it's short and sharp and drives the website visitor to take action.
8. Contact number - It's fascinating how many sites make it not easy to find contact information. This is a fatal mistake, make sure your contact information are very prominent.
9. Blog - Systems like WordPress make it Basic to install a blog on your site and it's the best way to produce excellent content.
10. Social integration - These days it's a social web, so it's crucial that us have Facebook Like buttons, follow us on Twitter buttons, re-tweet options and what about a Google + button.
Setting up a web site is not a chore these days but take the time to make sure your site has these key features and the reader will win the rewards.
